Leathwaite Development’s latest residential development is Dunedin Mews. An innovative low carbon development of 2 x two bedroom Duplex Apartments and 1 x two bedroom Penthouse Apartment. The modern exterior design is reflected in the advance construction method and technologies employed throughout the build to create leading edge urban homes.
The design is a creative and innovative solution to the challenge of providing modern urban living. The addition of car parking spaces in an adjoining car park and a quality architectural solution has transformed the previously brownfield site.
The new pedestrian entrance and landscaped amenity space will create a pleasant surrounding for the accommodation. The new landscaping and the addition of a ‘green living’ roof significantly improves the ecological value and bio-diversity of the site.
All three apartments each have their own private entrance, adding to the feeling of a bespoke development. In addition to the communal outside space the Duplex Apartments also both benefit from their own private outdoor space.

Code for Sustainable Homes
The UK Government laid the foundations for greener housing when it launchedthe Code for Sustainable Homes in 2007.
The Code uses a 1 to 6 star ratingsystem to communicate the overall sustainability performance of a new home. The Code is voluntary for privately built housing but it was agreed as part of the planning process that Dunedin Mews be built to a achieve a minimum of Code Level 3. Level 1 of the code is above regulatory standards and Level 3 represents current Best Practice for sustainable construction.
